We are recovering from the recent rain. We had the unfortunate decision to make to reschedule our spring open house last Friday night. We really felt that we would all have a much better time on a warm dry day and the strawberries will be better for picking.
This week marks my official start of summer with summer squash. I am always so fascinated with this particular vegetable, because it is the essence of seasonal eating. I love that I am so excited to eat it in May and then come August, I am trying to turn it into some crazy dish where no one might notice it.
